DirectAdmin Port 2222 Not Working

DirectAdmin Port 2222 Not Working

If you are experiencing issues connecting to DirectAdmin’s default port (2222), there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Check if the port is open: Use a port scanning tool like Nmap to see if port 2222 is open on your server. If it’s closed, you may need to open it in your firewall or check if DirectAdmin is running correctly.
  2. Check if DirectAdmin is running: Make sure DirectAdmin is running correctly on your server. You can check the status of the DirectAdmin service by running the command “service directadmin status” or “systemctl status directadmin.service” depending on your Linux distribution. If it’s not running, start it with the command “service directadmin start” or “systemctl start directadmin.service”.
  3. Check if there are any network issues: If your server has multiple network interfaces, make sure that DirectAdmin is bound to the correct IP address. Also, make sure that your server’s firewall is not blocking traffic to port 2222.
  4. Try connecting from a different network: If you are still unable to connect to port 2222, try connecting to DirectAdmin from a different network or from a different device to rule out any issues with your local network or device.

Open port 2222 from the firewall with the following commands and disable the firewall.

Your problem will be solved with the above commands. If not, contact your server provider.
